Nursery Rhyme Academy runs more like a learning center than a plain daycare. Children learn through play, and teachers keep them hands on, exploring what makes them curious. A block tower, a puzzle, a song at circle time: each one is a small lesson. Teachers plan the day so learning and play go hand in hand.
Rooms are set up so a child can reach what they need. Low shelves hold blocks, books, and sensory toys. There are soft spots for tummy time and cuddling, and open floor space for building and moving. Teachers move between children, sit down at their level, and ask questions that keep them thinking.
A visitor often notices how much talking goes on. Teachers name what children are doing, repeat words back, and coach turn taking. Manners, kindness, and using words are practiced all day, not saved for a lesson. Parents say the staff are caring and the rooms feel welcoming.
What a day looks like
Mornings start slow. A child comes in, finds a familiar spot, and settles with a toy or a book. Teachers greet each family by name. Infants get held and cuddled, and older children ease into the room before the day picks up.
The middle of the day mixes play and small groups. Children build, do puzzles, sing, and count together. Meals and rest follow the room's routine, with outdoor time when the weather allows. Teachers stay close and keep the pace calm for the youngest.
Afternoons wind down with quieter play, stories, and songs. Children gather their things and get ready to go home. At pickup, a parent hears what their child did that day and something small and specific they noticed.
How we work with families
At pickup, parents hear about the day: what their child played, tried, or said. Teachers share the small things, and families ask questions right there at the door. Parents tell us they appreciate the caring staff and the welcoming feel of the rooms.
New families start with a first week, and teachers help the child settle at their own pace. Ask us what the first days look like for your child's age, and we will walk you through it. You can also ask about CCAP.

Tour the room
See the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Tours run Monday through Friday at 1 pm.
Enroll and settle in
Complete enrollment and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. New enrollments start with just your first week's tuition.

Can we visit before deciding?
Yes, a tour is how families decide if the center feels right for their child. Children are welcome on the tour, and they can see the rooms where infants, toddlers, and pre-K children play and learn. Tours are Monday through Friday at 1 pm.
What should my child bring on the first day?
Most families pack a change of clothes, a comfort item like a small blanket or stuffed animal, and anything their child needs for rest or eating. Label everything with your child's name. Ask us for the full list.
What if there is no place right now?
If your child's age group is full, ask us to let you know when a place opens. We will contact you as soon as one does.
